2021 continues to be a banner year here at STS. The latest news is our rapid growth has been recognized by both the Washington Business Journal and Washington Technology. STS was ranked number 11 on Washington Technology’s Fast 50 list, and number 51 on the Journal’s list of the 75 Fastest Growing companies in the Washington area. We were named a finalist for the 2021 DC Moxie Award and earlier this year the Journal also named STS as a “best place to work.”

All this comes just a few months after STS was named the Google Cloud Public Sector Partner of the Year for US Federal. The award recognized our combined innovative thinking, outstanding customer service and best-in-class use of Google Cloud products and services for federal customers.

Not to sound cliché, but we truly are a function of our people. Our engineers and client-facing teammates are where we create the value for our customers—and that translates into our company’s growth. My partners, Aaron Kilinski & Betsey Hutton, spearhead a super-talented leadership team that keeps a steady hand as we steer the waters of rapid growth.

What we are most proud of is being both a very technically savvy firm and staying committed to our IT apprenticeship program. We’ve always sought to be a different type of 8(a) & HUBZone firm. A firm known to be technically excellent but also creating “on-ramps” to high-skilled and high-paying IT careers for more Black people, Brown people & Women. We’re a diverse company of races, creeds and orientations all coming together to create value and change for our government customers.

The Cloud and DevSecOps models being adopted by government agencies today are rooted in collaboration, featuring high performing teams that improve productivity and outcomes. People from different backgrounds and different areas contribute perspectives that help to solve problems through new, diverse, and comprehensive approaches. The best way to do well is to do good work, for each and every customer.

As the Google partner award demonstrated, we’ve crafted close partnerships with all the major cloud providers, bringing cutting-edge capabilities to our federal customers. STS is the only 8(a) HUBZone company with advanced partnerships with Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. We’ve demonstrated proven expertise in infrastructure cloud migration and DevOps engineering, and now are extending into cloud-native technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML).

We’re humbled by the faith federal customers put in STS for their cloud transformation projects. Growth will not change our singular focus on client success. It will allow us to bring more resources to bear in assisting federal IT transformation. And changing lives through careers in technology.
